How We Do It

John N. Bailey, LSW
Sharon Bailey, LCSW, BCD
Personal Life Coaches

All of our activities are done in phases in that each challenge is designed to build upon fostering confidence and self-esteem.  Each phase is as follows:

Phase I (Involves activities that are meant to, "break the ice".  An environment is created so that group participants can get to know one another in a fun non competitive atmosphere

Phase II (Involves activities that will foster team building)

Phase III (involves activities that will promote group problem solving).  The idea here is that once participants get to know one another, they will be willing to function as a team for the purpose of solving group problem initiatives.

After each activity the group will "debrie"and  process what was experienced.  We will also explore feelings that might have surfaced during each activity.  In addition, real life applications will be discussed.

      • WHAT IS A LIFE COACH?

As a life coach my passion is to help you  build on strengths and skills you already have so that you can:
      • (1), make decisions about changes that need to be made so that your life goals, targets, and objectives can be achieved.
    • (2), Develop personal action plans in order to make those necessary changes in life.
  • (3), Implement your action plans and encourage you to make the behavioral changes that may be blocks to those changes.

(4), I will support, teach, encourage, and help you stay on track toward your goals.  I will also help you find community resources for your specific needs.

      • (5), I will allow you as the client to "set" the agenda.  And your success will depend on your willingness to define and take risks and try new approaches.  As we develop our helping relationship, you can expect me to be honest and direct.  I will challenge you to move forward as you strive to achieve goals that you identify.
      • Be advise that our session together will not be consist of psychotherapy.  In other words, we  will  build on your strengths... not the exploration  pathological patterns.
      • The bottom line is, I will be the coach who will teach goal-directed skills and help you implement what is learned.  Our relationship may at times be challenging, but in the end you will be the winner!
