What is a Life Coach ?
The focus of a life coach is to help build on strengths and skills that individuals possess that helps them make decisions about changes that need to be made so that life goals, targets, and objectives can be achieved. A life coach uses personal action plans so that those necessary changes in life can be implemented and sustained. Once changes are identified and action plans are developed, life coaching is used to identify behaviors that block those changes. Clients are supported as they endeavor to stay on track toward reaching identified goals. In other words, the client sets the agenda for successful goal planning and implementation. And success will depend on the client’s willingness to define, take risks and try new approaches. It must be understood that life coaching is not psychotherapeutic. Meaning, success is focused from a strength-based perspective, not the identification of pathological patterns.

About Us:
John and Sharon Bailey have been married over 29 years and are the proud parents of three amazing sons. They have both had scholarships to play college basketball on New York. John has played basketball all over the world as a professional. Sharon has coached children and men’s basketball teams for over 12 years. John is a social worker working with children and their families for the Department of Defense over 12 years. John is currently involved with coaching and mentoring children for over 25 years.  Sharon served for 22  years as a social worker in the Air Force and is currently retired.  Sharon at the present is in private practice as a clinical social worker working with individuals, families, groups and couples for the last 5 years.
John and Sharon decided to take their experiences on and off the basketball court and formed a business that would bridge the communication gap in the home, at work and in the community. They realized within their own family that the things they learned on the basketball court could work in any arena in life.

Meaning, PWC uses assessment mechanisms to identify and reduce roadblocks to the quality improvement process in the work environment. Other services that playworks offer include adventure-based programming and retreat services for individuals and groups. We also offer traditional and non traditional sports camps. In addition, we conduct social skills camps for adolescents and teens that help them develop the necessary skills to navigate effectively in their relationships with peers and adults while they are in school and extra curricular activities.
